Birth Doula Services

Did you know that women who have the support of a birth doula during childbirth are less likely to have a cesarean section, less likely to use synthetic oxytocin to speed up labor, less likely to use any pain medication, and are more likely to rate their childbirth experience as positive!

As a birth doula, I work closely with families to plan for the beautiful birth experience that they have envisioned. I provide emotional, physical, and informational support as well as spiritual encouragement starting during pregnancy and continuing throughout labor, birth, and postpartum. I am Certified through DONA International and have also received training with the Catholic Doula Program. I am also an Approved Doula for Beginnings Birth Center and a Tricare Approved Birth Doula. I was also recently listed as one of the Most Recommended Doulas in Colorado Springs!

I serve the Colorado Springs area and am willing to travel up to an hour. I have experience with:

My Backup Doulas

I choose to work as an independent doula, rather than with a collective because I want the families I work with to know who will be joining them at their birth. I also only accept a small number of clients each month to ensure that I will be available. However, in the rare chance where a backup doula is needed I have many options! Below are my two go-to backup doulas.

Vanessa is a birth doula, childbirth educator, and photographer! Ever since the unmedicated birth of her first son, she knew that she wanted to share the knowledge and wisdom that she and her husband had acquired while pregnant to help other couples have positive and informed birth experiences. After the birth of her next two children, her passion for pregnancy, natural birth, breastfeeding, and attachment parenting ran even deeper. She loves empowering couples with the information and support they need to welcome their new babies with confidence. Vanessa is also an Air Force wife and loves supporting military families as a Tricare-approved doula!
